My name is MARTA CWIKLA / MC MARTAC/. 

I am a certified Gyrokinesis and Pilates trainer, Body Architect, Dancer, and Composer.

I left my carrier as a Naval Architect (MA 2006) due to contusions and unbearable pain of my spine and feet. I fell in love totally in Music and Dance - which share the same principles as architecture but both let you be PRESENT in your Body.

I studied Western, Oriental and Indian approaches to Physiotherapy and the basis of various Martial Arts: Tai-Chi, Aikido, Capoeira and many forms of Dance.

My objective was to heel myself and others who suffered pain like me, let us avoid surgery and rather replace it with a regular individually designed training, that would fix contusions and prevent them in the future.

I designed my own method of recovering body from pain. It makes organism strong, elastic, sensitive and conscious.  It is based on understanding the human anatomy and basic physical mechanisms of how bones, tendons, muscles, and elastic tissues work.

 

I travelled around the World and studied many forms of dance: TANGO, Afro-Latin Dances, Flamenco, Contact Improvisation, many Folkloric Dances and recently a fusion of Hip-Hop and Tango: URBAN KIZZ.

I wanted to learn them directly from the source and understand the true CONNECTION, MUSICALITY, and IMPROVISATION.

Those dances usually have different objectives then what we are commonly taught. Learning choreographies serves only a stage performance. The social form of dancing is different. It's objective is to synchronize with another person (healing function), and have a space for the unique personal expression and improvisation - that we are usually afraid of or ashamed of. 

In my COUPLE DANCE CLASSES, you don't need to memorize any steps or figures!

You will be taught what to perceive in the body and how to combine it with the sound.

 

       

MY SYSTEM:  3 LEVELS STRUCTURE

1

              TANGO FITNESS

 

( SOLO ) - All levels, any age - the class tempo and complexity will be adapted to the group.

We will train: equilibrium, strength, elasticity, and control over one's own body.

1. Intro Partwarm up dance (similar to Zumba) - you will copy my moves that will be Tango, Kizomba and Latin - healthy for the spine, hips and legs. I will explain them.

2. Impro Part: you will be introduced to the system of Tango moves ('move beads'), that you will learn and combine together as you like with the music - Tango, Electro Tango, Electronic, Urban Kizz, Hip-Hop. On each training we will work with a set of around 10 moves and use them for different music styles improvisations - so you can go to any party and dance it as you like!

 

FOR EVERYONE / ANY LEVEL

                  KINETIC TRAINING

 

( DUO ) - Intermediate level, best if you are familiar with TANGO FITNESS. Work with a partner as a united and synchronized System of 2. Partners can be the same or mixed sex - we will change roles, and you will learn both - how to guide and be guided, and how to adapt organically, without resisting and using force.

We will train: equilibrium, body alignment, control of muscle tone, perception of gravity, compression and expansion, centrifugal force, pendulum, different degrees of pressure and friction.

It is a universal movement language that I apply later to specific Dances/Music 

(Tango, UrbanKizz, Latin Dances) explaining only the characteristic mechanical and rhythmical differences.

 

 

 

FOR DANCERS, MARTIAL ARTISTS, PEOPLE WHO TRAIN SPORT, YOGA, THEATER, BODY & MIND

                              KINEXTASY 

 

(SOLO / DUO / GROUP) - Advanced level, for those who are fluent in KINETIC TRAINING.

Work in couples  with subtle physics: magnetism and electromagnetism - learning how to feel the charge, induction, vector and trajectory of the electromagnetic field, and how to apply it to own body in order to achieve state of mindfulness, focus, velocity and lightness, and how to lead and follow the partner without any force, maintaining continuity of the flow. That type of connection, as the name suggests, leads to a state of Kinetic and Kinesthetic Extasy.

It is a state of Union, similar to meditation, but achieved in the couple, or in a group.
